Syrian Oud meets Argentinian Chacarera! Amalaya are a group of seven musicians based in Leipzig and Dresden (Gemany). The musicians connect latin-american rhythms with arabic scales and spanishs-, arabic-, sephardic- and germanspeaking lyrics. CASA ("House/Home") is theire debut album. In theire own songs Amalaya reflects about the question "What does home means to me?".
